Making for quite the adorable trio, Pete Wentz, Ashlee Simpson and their son, Bronx Mowgli Wentz, stepped out in Los Angeles, California on Saturday (July 31).
With the "Fall Out Boy" rocker toting his young son in his arms, the happy family proceeded on to a local park to treat their growing boy to an afternoon of outdoor activity.
Meanwhile, Ashlee recently spoke with press about how young Bronx helps her to stay in fit shape, telling, ?I have lots of stairs at my house and my son [Bronx] is 33lb now, so I carry him up the stairs a lot.?
And while Bronx helps out with the cause, Miss Simpson adds, ?I definitely hit the gym. I?ll do 30 minutes when he?s down for a nap. I?ll do 30 minutes of cardio and I also like a class called Cardio Barre [aerobic-ballet workout].?

Is Jennifer Lopez The Right Replacement For Ellen DeGeneres On 'American Idol'?
Experts think she could pull it off.By Gil Kaufman

The roster of rumored replacement judges for season 10 of "American Idol" has read like, well, the line-up for one of the show's traditionally big season finales: Justin Timberlake, Elton John, Bret Michaels, Harry Connick Jr, Chris Isaak and Jessica Simpson.
All of the above have either been debunked or dropped off the radar in the days since their names were first floated, but the one that rose to the top on Thursday, according to multiple reports, might just have what it takes to fill in the Paula Abdul Memorial Chair in the wake of Ellen DeGeneres' departure: Jennifer Lopez.
Despite some head-scratching upon word that the former fly girl and singer/actress was in final negotiations to join the judge's panel, Entertainment Weekly senior writer Jessica Shaw said the choice makes some sense. "On the plus side, she was one of the best guest mentors," Shaw said of Lopez's stint as a supportive, helpful guide to the season-six cast on Latin night. "And that's not an easy job because many have not done it so well. I was a bit surprised that she was as good a mentor as she was, but she knew every contestant's name and is a huge fan of the show."
You might recall that newly departed judge DeGeneres was also an avowed big fan of "Idol" when she signed on last year to take over the Abdul seat. But Shaw said Lopez has the thing that Ellen, despite her long career in front of cameras and onstage as a comedian, lacked: music-industry experience.
"I don't think of her as a quintessential music figure, like Elton John, who is an artist with a capital A," she said of Lopez, who has released six studio albums, starred in more than a dozen movies and, like Abdul, started her career as a professional dancer. "I'm not sure J-Lo is on that level. But, that said, neither was Paula Abdul, yet she was a judge and a force on the show." While nobody expects Lopez to step up and be the new Simon Cowell — that seat has not yet been filled — Shaw said Lopez could serve as the big, recognizable name that could draw in a new audience. "Everyone knows her. They may or may not like her, but they know the name."
With so many names in play, Robert Thompson, director of the Bleier Center for Television and Popular Culture at Syracuse University and longtime "Idol" watcher, said he was holding out final judgement on Lopez until the choice is officially announced. "I guess she would fill the Paula-diva spot, as opposed to Kara, who didn't fit in," he said of season-two judging panel veteran songwriter Kara DioGuardi, who is reportedly on her way out as well. "Part of it is you just have to see them in the chair doing it before you have an idea of if it will work."
Thompson pointed to the DeGeneres experiment as proof of someone with copious TV talent who never seemed to find her zone on the show. He said the key is finding a panel that has the kind of crackling chemistry sole original judge Randy Jackson, Abdul and Cowell had in their first seven seasons together.
A spokesperson for "Idol" gave a no comment on the casting rumors and spokespeople for DioGuardi and Lopez had not returned requests for comment at press time.
MJ Santilli, webmaster of the "Idol" fansite MJsBigBlog.com, remembers how good Lopez was as a mentor and said the "Jenny From the Block" singer is in a perfect spot to segue to the "Idol" panel.
"She's kind of on the other side of her career, she's not the movie star she used to be and her last album didn't sell well," she said of Lopez, who has had a rough time at the box office lately and whose most recent album has been lost in the limbo of a label switch. "From that standpoint, she's a good candidate. And after she did the episode, nobody said she was a diva and the contestants seemed to like her."

Tokio Hotel Rocks MTV World Stage Live 2010
Taking their sound overseas, the members of Tokio Hotel were among the participants in the MTV World Stage Live In Malaysia music event in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Saturday (July 31).
With Bill Kaulitz, Tom Kaulitz, Gustav Schaefer and Georg Listing all on-hand at the Sunway Lagoon Resort Surf Beach venue, the quartet took part in a press conference before taking the stage for a smokin' set including Noise, Automatic, Dogs Unleashed and Forever Now.
Chatting with press before their turn onstage, MTV asked the group what fans could expect from the show, to which Bill replied, "What we did on this record is that we tried some new instruments, the guys are playing keyboards, and they are playing piano for the first time, because in general, Tom is only playing the guitar, but he?s also really talented when it comes to the piano, so we went with a new record to try new stuff on stage as well."
Also asked if there are ever any nerves before performing to packed crowds, the Tokio Hotel frontman answered, "Yes, we do. But when you play a tour for like 3 months or something?with the large shows when it?s the same every night, it?s not that bad, you get used to it. We are always nervous when it?s just the one show, just the one possibility, and it?s always exciting. I think it?s a normal thing to be nervous."

Spencer Pratt Responds To Divorce Filing - That Didn't Take Long
Spencer Pratt is now the third person to come forward to say that 'The Hills' was completely fake. He claims his marriage to Heidi Montag was a show. The ink was barely dry on the divorce paperwork before Spencer gave his first interview:
"I love Heidi but our marriage was a show ? it was part of The Hills world," Pratt said Friday. "And that world is on a sound stage."
"It's clear that reality TV-fame-loving Spencer Pratt does not fit with my ex-wife Heidi Montag's ambitions for a motion picture actor/pop star career and being a single sex symbol for the world."
Maybe this next statement should have been the quote of the day:
"Some say if you can't handle the heat get out of the kitchen, Well, Heidi couldn't handle King Spencer's fame so she got out of the marriage."
Glad to see he takes it all so seriously.

Reaction to Ellen DeGeneres' announcement that she was departing "American Idol" was swift, with fans and bloggers eager to express their thoughts as soon as the news became public on Thursday (July 29). The talk show host's former "Idol" colleagues, Simon Cowell and Ryan Seacrest, weighed in as well.
Other celebrities have also joined the conversation, voicing reactions and well wishes. "Idol" season-six third-place finisher Melinda Doolittle was shocked by the news. "I feel like I was tweeting this exact thing around this time last year," she tweeted. "DUDE!
Ellen?!?! DUDE!!!!!"
Doolittle later chimed in with her thoughts on rumored replacements Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler. "Randy=my dawg, J.Lo=the best mentor on season 6, & Steven Tyler=my favorite band EVER! If these really are the AI judges, what do you think?" she tweeted to her followers, followed by her number one pick for the judges panel: "PS-I'm not saying these are my choices for judges. I just happen to love all of them. I'm kinda still holding out for Harry Connick, Jr. :-)"
Last season's champ, Lee DeWyze, also took to Twitter to offer a few words on how DeGeneres' departure may affect the show. "The show will be fine," he tweeted in reply to a fan.
Fellow talk show host Conan O'Brien weighed in as well. "Ellen has walked away from a television institution after one year, but I'm sure it's the right decision," O'Brien tweeted about the news, perhaps slyly referencing his own highly-publicized departure from "The Tonight Show" last year. "Now, back to my model rocketry," he wrote.
And finally, Paris Hilton showed Perez Hilton some Twitter love with a support of his dogged personal campaign to join the judges' table.
"You would be Perfect on American Idol with your witty humor and music sense," she tweeted to Perez. "I'd definitely watch! Loves it!

Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi's Drunken Beach Arrest
Known to be a bit wild at times, to say the least, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi was arrested for being drunk and disorderly in Seaside Heights, New Jersey on Friday (July 30).
With the drama unfolding on the beach alongside JWoww and Deena, the "Jersey Shore" star looked a bit out of control as local officers led her to a nearby squad car after slapping on the cuffs.
Of the situation, a source tells Radar Online, "Snooki was drunk in public." Surely enough, the feisty brunette was later charged with public drunkenness,
Insiders add that the incident took place shortly after she had lunch with her father, with Miss Polizzi currently in the midst of shooting the third season of her popular MTV reality series.

Jersey Shore Cast Films Scenes At Seaside Heights - Snooki Gets Arrested
'Jersey Shore' cast members Ronnie, Snooki, and Vinny were spotted today as they filmed some footage in Seaside Heights, New Jersey. After I finished writing this, a new set of photos popped up - showing Snooki being hauled away by police!!! Reportedly, she's being arrested for disorderly conduct.
Okay, let's fess up - who watched the season 2 premiere last night??? I've been waiting for the official ratings announcement because the curiosity is killing me. Did you know that season 1's December 9th episode only had about 1.3 million viewers and within ONE month they were up to 4.8 million! That's a crazy huge jump! UPDATED: It premiered with 5.3 million viewers! Wow. I'm sure MTV is doing a happy dance this morning.
Why is Snooki drinking Coke through a beer funnel???
In other Jersey Shore gossip...it's been rumored that "The Situation" might be a contestant on the next season of 'Dancing With the Stars'. Mike denied the rumor a while back, but for some reason the rumor mill is abuzz again.

Ellen's Departure Doesn't Surprise 'American Idol' Experts
Close watchers of the show say they saw this 'difficult decision' coming.By Gil Kaufman
"American Idol" season nine judges
Photo: Michael Becker/ FOX
Ellen DeGeneres was the first to admit that her first, and as it turns out, last, season on "American Idol" was not smooth sailing. In the statement announcing her departure from the show, the daytime talk queen and veteran comedienne copped to feeling uncomfortable criticizing young singers. "It was a difficult decision to make," DeGeneres said, "but my work schedule became more than I bargained for. I also realized this season that while I love discovering, supporting and nurturing young talent, it was hard for me to judge people and sometimes hurt their feelings."
MTV News reached out to its panel of "Idol" experts for reaction on Friday (July 30), and each member said they were not shocked that DeGeneres pulled the ripcord on her three-year contract.
"I've been hearing the rumor for a long time, so I wasn't surprised,"
said Entertainment Weekly senior writer Jessica Shaw. "She started off very strong and was critical and fun and was some much needed new energy on the show. But as the season progressed, she got more and more stale. I think people thought she wouldn't add that much to next season."
Whether DeGeneres jumped or was pushed, Shaw said she left the show in a very classy way that just enhances her image as the daytime queen of nice.
MJ Santilli, who runs the "Idol" fansite MJ's Big Blog, admitted that she initially expected DeGeneres to be back for a second season, but after going back and watching season nine she can see why Ellen opted out.
"She just always seemed like the outcast that didn't fit in and didn't seem comfortable giving critiques," said Santilli, who was pulling for DeGeneres after having initial misgivings. "I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt when [her hiring] was first announced, because she was such a likable person. During Hollywood week they edited her very well and she seemed funny, but during the live shows it got worse and worse. What she said was often of little value, her jokes were stale and the more I looked back on it the more uncomfortable it was. I could understand why she'd be ready to bail by the end of the season."
Santilli's low point was when DeGeneres broke the show's etiquette and rushed on stage to give Teflon singer Tim Urban a hug after one of his many mediocre performances, a move that likely saved Urban and pushed out more beloved singer Alex Lambert. "That was the epitome of why she sucked as a judge," said Santilli.
Throughout the season, Robert Thompson, director of the Bleier Center for Television and Popular Culture at Syracuse University and longtime "Idol" watcher, was pulling for DeGeneres. But he was left wondering why someone with more than two decades of performing experience could not seem to get it together.
"She's a gifted comic actress, but when she got into the judge's seat none of her talents came out and she didn't belong there," said Thompson, who thought it was best for the show that DeGeneres bowed out. "Her presence on the panel was not working at all."
The trick now, he said, is to find that elusive chemistry that will work in the absence of both DeGeneres and departed lead judge Simon Cowell — as well as the possible absence of Kara DioGuardi, who has reportedly been let go.
Rumors that singer Jennifer Lopez and Aerosmith lead singer Steven Tyler are in line to join the panel have surfaced, but Thompson noted that finding the right mix of judges will be tricky.
"Ellen's the perfect example," he said. "She's someone you thought would be good because she's so good on her talk show, but she was uncomfortable. So it's not only how they perform, but also the chemistry of all of them together. You don't know how two chemicals will react until you put them in a beaker and see if they explode."

Ellen DeGeneres 'Knew 'American Idol' Was Not The Right Fit,' Perez Hilton Says
'She wisely extricated herself from the show,' celebrity blogger tells MTV News. By Jocelyn Vena

Barely an hour after news broke that Ellen DeGeneres will be leaving "American Idol", after just one season at the judges' table, someone who has long been saying he'd be a great judge on the show -- Perez Hilton -- shared his thoughts on the matter with MTV News.
"Ellen DeGeneres is a very funny lady and also extremely smart. She knew -- and the audience knew #8212; that 'Idol' was not the right fit for her, so she wisely extricated herself from the show," Hilton told MTV News in an e-mail. "Idol is in an extremely precarious situation right now, with viewer excitement at incredibly low levels and a judges panel that is missing Simon Cowell and someone to get people talking."
Hilton has never been shy to voice his opinion in the past on his blog and in the media and he added that it wouldn't change if he were asked to join the show, even suggesting that Jessica Simpson, who has been rumored to join the show as a judge, would work perfectly with him.
"Obviously I think I'd be great in that role," he said. "Plus, if they hire Jessica Simpson too, there'd definitely be lots of fireworks between us! She'd be my Paula!"
Hilton's comments echoed DeGeneres' statement posted on her website late Thursday (July 27). In which DeGeneres revealed that she broke the news to "Idol" producers months ago, writing "this didn't feel like the right fit for me."
Would you like Jessica to play Paula to Perez's Simon on "American Idol"? Tell us in the comments!

Definitely not roughing it, a source tells of Suri's grandeur in the Canadian locale, saying, ?She has her own driver and rides in her own $80,000 Escalade to and from the set! Suri loves running around the beautiful grounds, and playing and swimming in the pool at their amazing house when she is not on the set with Katie. There is also a playroom tailored to Suri. Ellen DeGeneres Leaves 'American Idol'
'It was hard for me to judge people and sometimes hurt their feelings,' the talk show queen writes on her website.By Mawuse Ziegbe

Talk show queen and comedienne Ellen DeGeneres has announced that she will no longer be a judge on the amateur talent juggernaut "American Idol." After sitting down at the judges' panel for just one season, the star cited a packed schedule and her aversion to hurting contestants feelings as reasons for her departure.
"Dim the lights...I've voted myself off American Idol," the star tweeted on Thursday (July 29). In a statement posted on her website, revealed that she broke the news to "Idol" producers months ago, writing "this didn't feel like the right fit for me."
"I told them I wouldn't leave them in a bind and that I would hold off on doing anything until they were able to figure out where they wanted to take the panel next," DeGeneres continued in the statement. "It was a difficult decision to make, but my work schedule became more than I bargained for. I also realized this season that while I love discovering, supporting and nurturing young talent, it was hard for me to judge people and sometimes hurt their feelings. I loved the experience working on 'Idol' and I am very grateful for the year I had. I am a huge fan of the show and will continue to be."
The comedienne was announced as the new face on the judging panel in September 2009 after longtime judge Paula Abdul left the show. DeGeneres made her "Idol" debut in February to mixed reviews.
"We love Ellen and understand and support her decision to bow out of 'Idol,'" Peter Rice, Chairman of Entertainment, Fox Networks Group said in a statement to MTV News. "We were fortunate to receive the humor, energy and love for talent that she brought to the show."
"I loved Ellen's passion for the artists and her nurturing skills," "Idol" creator and executive producer Simon Fuller added. "She brought honesty and optimism to our judging panel and I will miss her greatly."
"We will miss Ellen, she has been the consummate professional throughout her time on the show, and she'll always be part of the 'American Idol' family," said "Idol" executive producer, Cecile Frot-Coutaz.
DeGeneres' departure follows the exit of famously blunt judge, Simon Cowell who recently wrapped up his tenure on the show during the ninth season of "Idol."
Are you surprised Ellen is leaving "Idol"? Who should replace her? Tell us in the comments!

Coming up next week (August 6), Wahlberg and Ferrell?s film ?The Other Guys? hits theaters and is sure to get a few laughs, as the plot revolves around two mismatched New York City detectives that seize an opportunity to step up like the city's top cops whom they idolize only to find things don't quite go as planned.

Elisabetta Canalis Caught Up in Cocaine Scandal
Not helping to add any esteem to his well put-together persona, it sounds like George Clooney?s girlfriend has landed herself in a bit of a cocaine scandal.
According to breaking reports, Elisabetta Canalis has been implicated in an Italian cocaine fiasco where one witness has testified, ?I?ve done cocaine with other people including Elisabetta Canalis.?
According to one of Italy?s most prestigious newspapers, Corriere della Sera, an investigation was launched in 2008 into two Milan, Italy nightclubs, where celebrities often frequented that were allegedly running an escort and prostitution ring fueled by alcohol and cocaine.
?They [the girls] were brought into the clubs by the various characters acting as PR for the evenings to entertain customers at the tables of the private club,? prosecutor Frank Di Maio stated in the investigative documents.

Jessica Simpson Considered as American Idol Judge?
Will Jessica Simpson replace Simon Cowell on American Idol? It's possible, according to Life & Style! So is Mel Gibson winning Humanitarian of the Year honors, but hey. Anything's possible! Why not run with it for some quick hits if you're a third-rate magazine? According to the celebrity gossip rag, Jessica is in negotiations to become the newest judge on American Idol! Sources say that she has already met with the producers and everyone really "likes" her. Now, it's just a matter of fitting her in. Riiiiight. BAG IT: Whatever "source" planted this story must be closely tied to Jessica, whose career loses relevancy by the month. [Photo: PacificCoastNewsOnline.com] Had this news surfaced a year ago, with Jessica's name thrown around as a possible replacement Paula Abdul, that would at least make some sense. They have similar a "temperament," you could say. Jessica replacing Simon Cowell, though? We don't see it happening, although maybe we're wrong. Bridget Moynahan And Will Estes Film Scenes For 'Blue Bloods'
Bridget Moynahan filmed scenes in NYC for her new fall show 'Blue Bloods', with co-star Will Estes ('American Dreams').
The show, which will air on CBS this fall, is centered around a family of New York police officers. Other stars involved in the show: Tom Selleck, Donnie Wahlberg, and Len Cariou.
Are you looking forward to any of the new TV shows? Are you still mourning any cancellations/series endings? I'm always afraid to start watching new shows because if I get hooked, it'll wind up getting axed!

Teresa Giudice to Auction Off N.J. Mansion, Other Expensive Crap She Really Couldn't Afford
Bravo's Real Housewives franchise is a huge hit because TV viewers love a glimpse into the lives of the rich and obnoxious. Well, one star is only the latter. New Jersey housewives will soon have the chance to own part of reality TV history as Teresa Giudice and her husband, Joe, are set to auction off their stuff. Their 16-room, 10,000-square-foot Towaco, N.J., mansion's contents will be sold in a bankruptcy auction to take place there August 22, according to reports. According to court documents, the couple owe $10.85 million to creditors - and that doesn't even take into account the newly-filed Danielle Staub lawsuit. Teresa Giudice recently said of her fiscal woes: "When people fall, the way to success is to get up and learn from our mistakes. We are in that process." We'd feel bad for Teresa and Joe Giudice, but we really don't. Unlike millions of Americans feeling pain from the recession, they lived way beyond their means. Among the items up for bid will be a grand piano, two LCD TVs, a decorative urn, an antique pool table, a suit of armor, four chandeliers, a jet boat, a snowplow, framed paintings and numerous pieces of furniture, according to the auction company. All stuff they couldn't actually pay for but purchased anyway, because these are the kinds of values fostered by the Housewives programs, and arguably society in general. Nice work. The reality couple reportedly filed for bankruptcy last year. "Due to the economy, most of my husband's real estate ventures failed despite his hard work and effort," Teresa said, ignoring their shady financial practices. "As a result, we looked to the Bankruptcy Court for a fresh start.” Another fresh start idea: Savings accounts. Just saying.Kelly Rowland
Smashing Pumpkin Lead Billy Corgan Passes Out On Stage
Smashing Pumpkin's Billy Corgan has collapsed on stage, though he has no memory of it ever happening. The frontman was performing with the band in Tampa, FL on Thursday when he briefly passed out. In a video posted by a fan on YouTube, the band was at the Ritz Ybor venue and performing their hit song "Bullet with Butterfly Wings" when Corgan briefly passed out. He stood up immediately and continued as if nothing happened. He explained on his Twitter: "For those that saw me fall last night during Bullet, that wasn't a stage move or clumsiness, that was me blacking out and wiping out." "I have no memory of falling against the drum riser and my guitar cabinet, but I can tell you I've got quite a good bruise + am moving slow"

What Chilli Didn?t Want: Marriage With Usher
VH1 TV Shows | Music Videos | Celebrity Photos | News & Gossip
Since interviewing her and watching What Chilli Wants, I’ve been impressed with the TLC member’s candor regarding her public relationship with Usher. In last night’s Usher-centered Behind the Music, they both laid their entire relationship out (from him asking her to appear in the “You Remind Me” video to his infidelity being the cause of their demise). Watch it all in the segment above — it’s a lot less scandalous (and a lot more human) than those who think “Confessions Part II” was autobiographical would have you believe. Added bonus: battle of the six-packs.

Kim Kardashian Offers Style Tips
For reasons that defy comprehension, Kim Kardashian is considered a fashion icon. We could spend days questioning this classification - but, instead, we'll simply accept it and pass along a number of company shills tips Kim recently offered in the pages of InStyle. Follow along if you wish to look your best... Find a Great Tailor"Anything you wear should be proportioned to your body, and a good tailor will make sure everything fits perfectly. I either have my tailor at every fitting or I have my stylist pin my wardrobe and take it to the tailor before I wear anything. Shortening a hem line on a dress can make a huge difference!" Accentuate the Waist"Show off that tiny waist! Adding a belt makes your outfit look more polished. I have great belts from Phillip Lim and Alaia. Vintage belts are one of a kind and can be affordable too." Avoid Baggy Clothing"I know they are comfortable and they look amazing on Nicole Richie but flowy tops and dresses are not flattering on a curvy figure. They can make you look pregnant and they look sloppy in photos. Try wearing a maxidress instead. A.L.C, Torn by Ronny Kobo and T Bags make some great ones." Embrace Shapewear"Every woman from a size 0-14 should own Spanx! I love Shapewear by Body Wrap; they have a firm control long leg panty that makes my body look smoother and slimmer under fitted dresses without leaving any lines." Love Those Curves!"Being confident and owning your body is sexy. I love to show off my curves and designers like Thatcher, Antonio Berardi, Preen, Altuzarra, Markus Lupfer and Brian Lichtenberg make amazing dresses that fit my body perfectly."Susie Castillo
Jon and Kate Gosselin Reach Custody Settlement
Wow. What will this world be like if these two nut jobs are actually getting along and enjoying a respectful, amicable relationship? We may find out, because the epic child custody war between Jon and Kate Gosselin is officially over. The former spouses/stars of Jon and Kate Plus 8 have reached a settlement agreement. The terms are extremely confidential, but the new deal replaces their previous one, in which Jon was on the hook for child support he could not pay. Jon filed documents in a Pennsylvania court asking for custody of their eight kids in April, looking to renegotiate those child support payments. He then dropped that lawsuit and sought a truce with Kate, which he apparently got. JON & KATE PLUS ALIMONY: The good ol' days are long gone, but at least by squaring away their legal differences, the Gosselin family is moving forward positively. Earlier this month, the often-contentious former couple officially agreed on a new arrangement that involves both custody and financial obligations. The terms of the agreement have been sealed by the court. "An official agreement between Jon and Kate was reached and they will be working together for the benefit of their children," a close source confirms. Good for them. Bad for celebrity gossip lovers accustomed to wars of words, tearful implosions and baseless legal accusations, but good for them. The Avatars of Second Life

Leo DiCaprio "Doubtful" He Will Work With Mel Gibson In Latest Project
Hollywood, CA, United States (NewsBahn) - It's no secret that everyone in Hollywood is distancing themselves from Mel Gibson, and now Leonardo DiCaprio is making it known as well. Sources close to the "Inception" star say the actor is doubtful he will star next in a Mel Gibson-directed film about Vikings. Web site imdb.com reports that an Untitled Mel Gibson/Leonardo DiCaprio project is still in development, although no further details are given. Whether a film will pan out of the project remains doubtful, as DiCaprio insiders are saying the "Titanic" star is hesitant to work with Gibson now that he is in a bitter custody battle over his infant daughter with ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva, who claims the actor physically abused her on numerous occasions.

Jessica Simpson to Mourn Dog on Entourage
Jessica Simpson's dog Daisy was snatched by a coyote last year. Ari Gold will try to smooth things over on Entourage next week. Earlier this season on the HBO series, viewers were informed that the singer's dog died, which of course happened in real life. 'I got an early sneak peek at it,' 'Machete' director says of script based on the comic book character.By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Josh Horowitz

While Robert Rodriguez's take on "Deadpool" could make for one very interesting comic book flick, the "Machete" director says that rumors he might direct Ryan Reynolds in the film are still nothing but rumors, even if he has read an early script for the film.
"It was really good," Rodriguez told MTV News at Comic-Con in San Diego. "It wasn't supposed to be sent out — it was one of those early drafts. They were probably like, 'Robert just finished "Predators," let's see what he thinks at this early stage' ... I got an early sneak peek at it."

'Inception' Becomes Recurring Dream At The Box Office
Angelina Jolie's 'Salt' opens strong, comes in at #2.By Adam Rosenberg

The Box-Office Top Five
#1 "Inception" ($43.5 million)
#2 "Salt" ($36.5 million)
#3 "Despicable Me" ($24.1 million)
#4 "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" ($9.7 million)
#5 "Toy Story 3" ($9 million)
"Inception" proves for the second week in a row that dreams really do come true. Chris Nolan, who went on from the wildly original "Memento" in 2000 to do a string of adaptations and remakes — "Insomnia," "The Prestige" and two "Batman" films — is in command at the box office once again with his first completely original work in a decade. The Leonardo DiCaprio-starring head-scratcher of a sci-fi flick took in $43.5 million over the weekend, only a 31 percent dip from its $62.8 million opening weekend. Exceptionally strong ticket sales throughout the week send "Inception" into week number three with a worldwide box-office total of $227.7 million.
Not far behind is the Angelina Jolie-starring "Salt," with $36.5 million. The Phillip Noyce-directed action/thriller opened last Friday amidst solid reviews, and audiences came out in force over the weekend to see the superstar kick some tail. With a rumored budget of around $100 million and a number of foreign releases still to come, the movie's performance must have Sony pretty pleased, despite the #2 spot.
"Despicable Me" continues to attract moviegoers in its third week. The animated family comedy, which features voice work by Steve Carell, earned $24.1 million, a figure that is no doubt bolstered by premiums charged for 3-D screenings. This brings the worldwide gross up to $179.1 million.
There's a sharp drop-off for the number four and five weekend box-office spots, with "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" and "Toy Story 3" earning $9.7 million and $9 million, respectively. The Disney releases are a study in contrasts. "Toy Story 3," at number five, marks another rousing success for Pixar, with a worldwide haul of $730.5 million after just six weeks in theaters. On the other hand, "Apprentice" arrived two weeks ago to the uninspiring tune of $17.6 million. Even accounting for worldwide box offices, the total gross for the movie is still just shy of $70 million, far short of its rumored $150 million budget.

Britney Spears: Surprisingly Happy, Pulled Together!
Hand-picked by conservator Jamie Spears to date Britney, the pop star's former agent Jason Trawick certainly spends plenty of quality time with her family. Nice to see she returns the favor sometimes. Britney Spears and her man, who recently ended severed professional relationship to focus on their personal one, are enjoying a getaway in Santa Barbara. There, they entertained some fun company yesterday - his folks! The cute couple stopped by Michael's Arts and Crafts store accompanied by the Trawicks. Unlike the previous couple of times we've seen her, Britney appeared very pulled together and happy, rather than the haggard and confused mess of late. Gotta impress the future in-laws, right? LOOKIN' GOOD: Not a style everyone could pull off, but Brit does!Saira Mohan
Vengeful Michael Lohan Threatens to Hawk Pics of Kate Major Nude
Lindsay Lohan may want to spend the full 90 days in jail after reading this. We'd be embarrassed to be seen in public if we were related to this lowlife. The fact that he's Lindsay's dad does explain a lot about her, if you think about it. But that's a separate issue. Back to the R-rated lecture at hand ... On top of allegedly harassing and attacking fiancee Kate Major, Michael Lohan is allegedly attempting to sell nude photos of her to the highest bidder. A photo taken in April shows Kate in bed with her breast exposed and her eyes closed. She's wearing nothing but her engagement ring from Michael. Gross. When Kate Major found out about Michael's intentions, she gave the following statement: "Michael Lohan is a disgusting human being and father." "He took these pictures of me without my knowledge. At the time he was my fiancé. I have just found out about these images today and moving forward my lawyer, William O'Conner, will be handing the legalities of anyone that reproduces them." Michael, of course, responded in kind. "She has no money, no job and she's been living off of me for the last eight months. If she doesn't stop the nonsense, more and more will come out. I am tired of being used and people who need to make up stories to make money off others." "I have more important issues to deal with than Kate Major." LOL. No you don't, Mike. This is all you do, sponge off others for attention. How many times have you been in jail, Mr. High and Mighty? Just asking. Just to recap, Kate Major used to be Lindsay's assistant, then became a writer for Star magazine, then quit her job to date Jon Gosselin, then got engaged to Michael, then accused him of beating her up and threatening to kill her.Kristin Kreuk
'Avengers' Director Is 'The Guy For The Job,' Chris Evans Says
'It seems like he knows the world incredibly well,' the actor tells MTV News of Joss Whedon during Comic-Con.By Terri Schwartz

SAN DIEGO — Chris Evans was already at San Diego Comic-Con to promote his highly anticipated Marvel film "Captain America," but the actor made a big splash when he appeared onstage at the studio's Saturday panel, along with the full cast lineup of "The Avengers."
Evans took the stage alongside director Joss Whedon and fellow castmembers Robert Downey Jr., Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johannson, Clark Gregg, Chris Hemsworth and newcomers Mark Ruffalo and Jeremy Renner. And earlier Saturday, during the MTV News live stream, Evans talked about how excited he was to work with Whedon on the 2012 culmination of the stand-alone Marvel superhero films.
"It seems like he knows the world incredibly well. It seems like this world respects him back. It seems like he's the guy for the job," Evans said of the director. "He did a pass on the 'Captain America' script, and it was just phenomenal. All the little tweaks he made, he really knows storytelling; he really knows dialogue and script writing, and that's always a comforting thing."
There are still two films to be released — "Thor" and "Captain America" — before "The Avengers" hits theaters, and Evans said his attention is focused on his own film for now. He said he's already met Downey Jr. and Whedon to talk about the film, but there is still much work to be done on "Avengers," including the all-important script.
The potential success of bringing together these Marvel characters in one giant film could influence how comic book films are made going forward, a sentiment that was discussed during the Warner Bros. panel for "Green Lantern," which raised the possibility of a possible DC universe equivalent. Bringing together all of the various Marvel characters — Iron Man, the Hulk, Captain America, Thor, Black Widow, Nick Fury and Hawkeye — in one film will be a challenge for Whedon, one Evans said he's eager to see the helmer take on.
"We'll see how they're going to write it," Evans said. "I'm not quite sure what Joss has in mind, but I'm sure they'll find a way to make everyone kind of blend and have a role to play. I don't think anyone's going to be carrying the load."

Alexis Neiers is a Free Woman
While reports start to spread about Lindsay Lohan's greatly reduced prison term, the troubled actress can look to Alexis Neiers for inspiration. That E! reality star was freed from jail yesterday after serving just 30 days of a 180-day sentence. She was arrested earlier this year for her part in the "bling ring," as a bunch of morons went around stealing from celebrities. Neiers has released this statement: "I've had time to reflect on my life and the choices that led me to this experience, left alone in my cell 23 hours a day and having everything stripped away but the bare essentials. I did a lot of soul searching. I feel very humbled and see my life in a way that I have come to be very grateful for and I am also grateful to everyone who has helped and supported me through this. I am committed to talking to teens and encouraging them to become goal oriented and participate in positive activities that give back to their world." You can catch Alexis on the show Pretty Wild. You can also start searching for a life and some hobbies if you actually spend your time doing this.Pamela Anderson

Zachary Quinto Says 'Star Trek 2' Won't Start Filming For 'A While'
'I can't wait to go back,' actor said of sequel while attending San Diego Comic-Con.By Terri Schwartz, with reporting by Rick Marshall

Though Zachary Quinto is at San Diego Comic-Con to promote "Lucid," the first comic from his production company, Before the Door Pictures, which debuted at the Con, he was willing to shed some light on the upcoming "Star Trek 2."
There isn't much known about the sequel, though writers Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman told MTV News that they're "making significant process on the story." Quinto, who was joined by "Lucid" creator and author Michael McMillian at the convention, said he is ready for anything the writers throw at him.
"I can't wait to go back. We have a while until we're going to do another one. It probably won't be until next year at this time," he said, debunking rumors that filming would start in January.
J.J. Abrams, who directed 2009's "Star Trek," hasn't confirmed that he will be directing the sequel, but Quinto said he would still be onboard even if Abrams isn't.
"I have a lot of trust and gratitude and respect for J.J. [Abrams] and Damon Lindelof and for Bob Orci and Alex Kurtzman. They know what they're doing," Quinto said. "I would obviously love to see J.J. directing every 'Star Trek' movie that I'm ever a part of, but if it's not the case, I'm sure whoever does will be someone he's chosen for whatever reason. They know what's up. I just show up where they tell me to show up and stand on a piece of tape."
When asked if there might be a Spock-versus-Khan confrontation in the film, Quinto avoided the question by pretending he was asked if there would be a Con, in the film. "Actually, 'Star Trek 2' takes place at Comic-Con. Have you gotten an advance copy of the script? Unacceptable," the actor joked.
Quinto continued, "I don't know man, I don't know. I'm just excited. My focus is elsewhere and I know that when the time is right and they want me to be involved again ... Until then, I love to let them do their thing because I know that what they're doing is really exciting but also really fun. They're good people."
