Out to support the final two contestants, Carrie Underwood, Jordin Sparks and Julianne Hough walked the star-studded red carpet at the Nokia Theater today for the “American Idol” finale.
The gorgeous girls joined newly crowned “Idol” winner Philip Philips along with Jessica Sanchez and last year’s winner Scotty McCreery at the live event in Los Angeles, CA this evening (May 23).
The night was filled with fun as Rihanna hit the stage performing her newest single “Where Have you Been” and yelling “I love you, ‘Idol’” after the song.
Also former contestant Diana DeGarmo got a big surprise as her rock star boyfriend Ace Young proposed on stage as he said, ““I want to make this last forever, and I will do anything in my power to have the most amazing life together, if you will have me!”
Topping of the evening was the big moment when the 21-year-old soul rocker was crowned the 11th “American Idol.”
